Job Description:
Purpose: At Crystal Clean Field Services encompasses several service activities including industrial cleaning, waste coordination/ disposal, lab packing, emergency response, remediation and other environmental and industrial services. The Product Manager, Field Services is responsible for meeting revenue and profit growth goals of the Field Services line of business. Acting as an advisor to the Field Service/ Branch Sales team while working closely with finance and senior leadership to ensure profitability of the business and progress toward Value Creation Plan and other strategic plan goals, as assigned by senior management. Essential Duties: Serve as a subject matter expert on industrial/ field service processes and best practices (both administrative and service operations). Serve as growth-minded advocate for the field sales team, while keeping tight control over management processes and procedures. Develop new management control processes and procedures as the business evolves. Assist field sales management in the management of all sales personnel and programs related to Field Services. Assist with the development and implementation and monitoring of compensation plans for the Field Services Managers. Develop sales training, technical training, process documentation and SOPs and provide these resources to the field sales team. Develop, implement, and monitor pricing controls for Field Services work. Perform ongoing financial analysis of sales and profitability for the Field Services LOB Track the business performance on a daily, weekly, and period basis. Work closely with shared resource groups (IT/ Finance) to implement and improve profitability tracking tools (per project, per financial period, etc.). Implement and/ or improve upon existing business analysis techniques to provide clear insight into business performance. Identify potential problems or reasons for lack of adequate revenue growth or profit improvement. Implement solutions to identified problems. Report progress of the sales and profit performance to Senior Management. Have a working knowledge of OSHA, RCRA and DOT regulations Embody Crystal Clean s values (SHARRIE) and present a positive image of Heritage-Crystal Clean to fellow employees, external contacts, and the general public. Work Experience 3-5 years experience in sales or management of environmental field services, industrial services, technical services, or similar business is required. Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations Bachelor s degree in finance, marketing, or business management is preferred. 7 10 years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Specific Skills Medium to advanced knowledge of Excel Project Management Intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience with retrieving data from financial systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) is preferred, but not required Understanding of OSHA, RCRA, and DOT regulations as they relate to Field Services Travel If remote, periodic travel to corporate for meetings is required. Periodic travel to meet with field sales personnel is required. Periodic travel to assist with management of large projects and/ or other one-off events is required but will be dictated by business need. Estimated travel will be 25 50%. Personal Protective Equipment When working at a customer site or in a field environment, as appropriate, the ability to wear any of the following personal protective equipment (PPE) required: Steel toe boots Eye protection Hearing protection Gloves/ Hand protection Fire resistant uniform Others as required by OSHA, Crystal Clean EH&S, and customer/ site EH&S Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works in a variety of environments, and is required to see, talk, hear, reach with hands, stand, walk, drive frequently, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Essential duties require bending, squatting and twisting frequently. Employee will frequently be exposed to dirt, dust and fumes. Noise level of the environment is generally moderate but may vary depending on customer site visits. Occasionally may be required to lift/move up to 75 lbs.
