DESIGN VACANCYThe design team of Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd. is hiring for the role of Fashion Designer - Knits (Exports) - Fabrics & GarmentsJob Location : Andheri, MumbaiJob DescriptionCreate seasonal collections for Spring Summer and Autumn Winter Fabrics & garments in Knits.
Good graphic skills in making mood boards, color boards, prints for T-shirts / garments, digital presentations, catalogs, brochures, photography, editing, and Social Media posts.
Excellent verbal, writing & communication skills for meetings & presentations to reputed brands.Clo can be an additional trait that can be considered.
Can manage the Packaging of a product along with design aesthetics.Can travel to the plant outside Mumbai to Amravati for design sampling developments and follow up on the customer developments.
Highly creative with an eye for aesthetics.Know color theory, a great sense of color combination, and details with graphic compositions.
Should have an attitude to indulge in an extensive process of design iterations to deliver product innovations and a quick turnaround time is appreciated.
Should be a Go GetterRoles & Responsibilities : TREND FORECASTINGAnalyze the market and monitor current fashion trends, collections, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status.Forecast fashion for the season and present Initial Concepts to the customers from the design team.
CALENDARAdherence to design calendar, SOPs, and maintaining TNS for all developments.Monitor the activities of the design team to ensure the delivery of designs as per the design calendar.
DESIGNPlan and create new designs after getting concept guidelines from the creative head for the look of the season, concepts, etc.
Ensure designs are at par with the current market trends and in line with the customer's brand philosophy.Ensure precise designs are offered to maintain a high design success rate and increase design efficiencyCoordinate with the Fabric Design & Development Department, Pattern makers, Tailors, Cutting Masters, etc.
for sample making and end-to-end coordination for the final sample to be developed in Amravati.Ensure a desirable level of design approval ratio and give regular feedback to make clear decisions on the design range.
INNOVATIONEnsure seasonal freshness of the collections in tune with international benchmarks and trends to drive the brand as an innovative fashion leader, both in the fabrics and garments considering the innovative blends, silhouettes, and finishes.
Promote new concepts, designs, systems, and out-of-the-box thinking for product innovations, SOPs, and smoothening the overall processes.
MARKET RESEARCHAnalyze the market and monitor current fashion trends, collections, customer preferences, and competitor activities for fashion forecasting from different store visits, vendor visits, brand visits, etc.
Sourcing trims, fabrics, etc. for the design collections and checking the replenishment from time to timeJob RequirementOverall Experience : 3-7 years of experience in Fashion Design - KnitsIndustry Experience : Experience in Export House / Fabric Mill / Retail BrandEducational Qualification : Fashion Institution Design Degree from NIFT / PEARL / SOFT / NID / UID etc.
Behavioral Skills Required : Good aesthetic sense, effective communication skills, well-organized and collaborative.Technical Skills Required : Well-versed s oftware knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, In Design, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop, Innovative, ability to think strategically.
