Community Programmes CoordinatorGrade & Salary : WM6(Sc6) £28,310 (£22,648 Pro rata)Hours of work : 30 hours per weekWith occasional evening and weekend work in line with service demands.
Contract : 2 years fixed term contractAccountable to : Community Lead Brent & WestminsterLine reports : Sessional staff, group facilitators, wellbeing support workers Functional Responsibility : To take an active role in supporting and advancing the Brent and Westminster community wellbeing programme.
Job Purpose : To enrich our community wellbeing programme by providing flexible and responsive community-based support to individuals and groups who have experience of mental health conditions.
This entails conducting service user inductions, assessing risk management, fulfilling line management duties, and innovating new wellbeing activities and support groups that foster service user development, social integration, and recovery.
Simultaneously, aid us in upholding compliance with monitoring, statutory, and funding requirements.Based at : The role will be based at our community hub in the Great Western Studios but will require you to support a number of our community wellbeing projects hosted at various venues across Brent and Westminster.
We are looking for : An ambitious and compassionate community programmes coordinator who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of our local community.
You will work with a proactive approach to deliver high quality and accessible community wellbeing programmes that meet the needs of our community.
You will be joining a small but growing team and will need to be someone who can hit the ground running to coordinate our busy programme of activities, whilst developing new and innovative programmes with the support of the community lead.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and enjoy working with autonomy. You will also be confident working in a fast-paced environment and will have efficient administrative and time management skills.
You will : To oversee the implementation and expansion of the community wellbeing programme, encompassing physical wellbeing, eco-therapy, psychoeducation, creative arts, as well as employment and volunteer support initiatives.
To foster service user engagement, enhance social inclusion, and facilitate the journey towards improved wellbeing and recovery.
To collaboratively identify and assist service users in achieving their individual goals.To carry out the enrolment and onboarding of new service users by providing inductions, risk assessments and facilitating taster sessions.
To provide effective line management and supervision of sessional staff, group facilitators, wellbeing support workers, and volunteers.
To research and proactively develop the activities programme to ensure it is responsive to service user needs.To develop and deliver innovative wellbeing activities and support groups that support service user growth and recovery.
To provide group facilitation cover as and when needed.To promote and market the community wellbeing programme and support our digital marketing strategy with social media content creation.
To support service users to identify move-on opportunities to progress growth and recovery. To provide signposting support to relevant organisations, groups, and services where necessary.
To establish and cultivate dynamic relationships with corporate partners and community organisations, while enhancing both new and established referral pathways and partnerships.
To represent Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster at community networking events and foster meaningful connections with individuals, businesses, and community organisations.
To maintain accurate and current records of activities, encompassing attendance, impact metrics, and outcome evaluation data and generate comprehensive monitoring and evaluation reports based on gathered information.
To contribute to service monitoring, evaluation and ongoing development / shaping of the service.To be aware of, and follow the procedures of, Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster Mind’s Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.
