Job Description:
We are seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Research Professional 1 in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
This 50% position is funded by two federal grants. The first grant is an NIMH-funded R43 investigation of a wearable device to detect and prevent binge eating behavior among adults. The second study is an NIDDK-funded R01 treatment grant targeting internal and external eating cues among children with strong food responsiveness. Each study will require the administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinician-based research assessment interviews including the Eating Disorder Examination. The treatment investigation also requires advanced clinical skills in order to conduct clinical trial interventions. The funding of this position is split with 35% funded by the NIDDK R01 and 15% funded by the R43 wearable device investigation. This position will also require data collection skills for both investigations, including the administration of self-report assessments and computer tasks as well as ecological momentary assessment and wearable technology. Additional job duties include participant recruitment, data entry, regulatory and IRB correspondence, and volunteer supervision.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
20%: Study intervention implementation administering behavioral treatments to families
20%: Conduct clinical assessment interviews including the Eating Disorder Examination and SCID interviews as well as other specialized assessments to measure eating disorders, eating behaviors, and associated psychopathology (depression, anxiety)
5%: Study coordination including recruitment (community flyers, on-line postings, collaboration with BuildClinical staff), participant enrollment (scheduling, consent procedures, space arrangements), data collection (administration of surveys, questionnaires, ecological momentary assessment, computer tasks, food-related paradigms, body mass index), data entry (using Excel and statistical programs), oversight of student volunteers (provide training, educate, monitor attendance, monitor task completion), lab meeting attendance, use of Redcap, ETHOS, and Florence
5%: IRB correspondence and regulatory procedures (assist with initial protocol and consent form construction, update protocol and collaborate with regulatory staff in submitting changes to the IRB, monitor personnel and training for IRB documentation, communicate with regulatory staff regarding regulatory questions, assist with study safety monitoring meetings and documentation)

Required Qualifications: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Preferred Qualifications:
-Master's degree and coursework in psychology and/or science
-Previous experience conducting human research including clinical trials
-Advanced interviewing skills for research-based clinical assessments of psychopathology
-Advanced clinical skills to conduct research-based interventions
-Expertise in eating disorders (and associated psychopathology) including diagnosis and assessment
-Previous experience working with IRB and regulatory procedures
-Familiarity with ecological momentary assessment and wearable technology
