Job Description:
Ballard Spahr LLP has an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal administrative assistant (legal secretary) with demonstrated corporate finance, real estate, technical and administrative skills to work in the Las Vegas office. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, understands the cycle of business and/or financing transactions and perform other administrative functions.
Required Skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing transaction/loan closing documentation, organizing files for delivery, overseeing post-closing follow up, filings with the Secretary of State, Clark County and other government agencies. Administrative duties include scheduling meetings and appointments, maintaining attorney calendars and contact information, new client intake, file maintenance utilizing the firm's electronic records management system, and travel coordination and expense reimbursement.
Required Experience
Ideal candidates for this position will have 2-3 years of corporate transactional or commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, mortgage company or other related entity. A high degree of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Microsoft Word and the ability to type 65+ wpm. Top-notch accuracy and organizational skills; experience with time and billing and document management systems required.
