Title Call for Poets and Photographers Soul Art Renewal Organization Greater Denton Arts Council Closing Date Sunday, April 4, 2021 Location Denton, Texas Information Soul Art Renewal is a multi-gallery and multi-media celebration of art and artists in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that will be display at GDAC in Summer 2021. The projects aim is to focus on healing, hope, and community resilience and renewal in response to the impact the pandemic has had on the arts community. The project includes a catalog which will feature all the works presented in the exhibitions and programming in support of the exhibition and community healing and renewal.

Greater Denton Arts Council is hosting a call for our upcoming exhibition featuring poetry and photography as part of our multi-exhibit project Soul Art Renewal: A Community Response to COVID. Our collaborative exhibition of photography and poetry is a multi-disciplinary exploration of how the COVID pandemic has impacted artists from both the visual and literary arts fields. Poems and photographs will be displayed together in the Gough Gallery.

This call is limited to artists that live or work in Denton County.

Framed photos and poetry will be returned to artists at the end of the exhibition.

Exhibition will be up May 7-August 14, 2021 in the Gough Gallery and online.

Deadline for Entries is April 4, 2021
