**Job Description**
**BASIC FUNCTIONS**
Conduct technical training for new hire technicians. These would include (but not limited to) introductions to pneumatics, sensors, alignments, and troubleshooting.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develop training plans for new hires
+ Coordinate schedules with training attendees
+ Attend training sessions to gather and disseminate updated practices and information
+ Partner with subject matter experts to further refine system and process knowledge
+ Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge
+ Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly
+ Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, tableau, etc.
+ Utilize IPN resources where necessary
**INTERACTION**
This position interacts with Operators, Operational Technicians, Special Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and Leadership
**Qualifications**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years or older
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
Demonstrates self-initiative
Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining
Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**
Must have strong production/maintenance background
Must have mechanical and electrical background
Expected to support production by assisting subject matter experts and identifying training needs
Exceptional organizational skills, ability to clearly communicate to large audiences
Passion for training technical skills. Be able to perform repetitive training for newly hired associates
Be able to frequently interact with shopfloor leadership
Develop hands on training for new and existing technology
Find creative solutions to improve OEE through innovative training practices
