As a **Specialty Markets Sales Manager** you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
**Job Summary**: The person hired for the position of **Specialty Markets Sales Manager** will.
* Lead Regional sales functions within 3M HIS, subsidiary of 3M Company in the areas of Acute care Community Hospitals, Ambulatory and Imaging.
* Execute business unit strategy, plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profitable sales growth and expansion
**Primary Responsibilities** include but are not limited to the following:
* Manage Sales Managers from each specialty area covering territories across the US
* Manage activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine Specialty Markets teams progress toward stated goals & objectives, territory metrics and quota analysis
* Drive best practices throughout the Specialty Markets Management and teams to ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable performance, including continuing evolution of the company sales process
* Set levels of accountability, and hold direct reports accountable to agreed upon deliverables
* Knowledge and demonstrable experience selling and delivering health care technology solutions in specialty areas, with an understanding of the complexities and dependencies of integration with Radiology Vendors and Ambulatory EHR Vendors
* Knowledge and demonstrable experience selling and delivering health care technology solutions in both the free-standing ambulatory market segment as well as the acute care hospital and health system market
* Experience positioning value / benefits with C level decision makers and developing win-win strategic partnerships
* Ability to fully negotiate contracts and close profitable business within these specialty areas that protect all expected 3M HIS business unit margins
* Demonstrate initiative, innovation, continual learning, and personal development
* Client-centric in style; respected among their clients who is known and respected throughout the clients leadership and across the client base
* Energetic self-starter who possesses an intense sense of urgency

* Sets a quick pace and constantly raises the bar for themselves towards higher levels of achievement
* Provides direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignment, review of progress in achieving quota attainment, managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc. Understands and enforces corporate/location policies and procedures
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
-OR-
* High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in Health Care Software Sales
* Ten (10) years of Health Care Software Sales in Radiology or Ambulatory market segment
* Five (5) years combined years of leadership role in Healthcare supervising / coaching / managing sales functions
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Masters in Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) or similar Masters degree
* Ten(10) years related leadership function in healthcare or Health Information Systems related field/industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Ten (10) years experience with Strategic Planning in the healthcare industry
* Proven leadership, organization and planning ability
* Ability to be effective and clear with upward and downward communication
* Strong relationship, consultation, and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to coach and assist in the development of others, creating success through leadership
* Proven ability to delegate effectively
* Proven ability to facilitate growth by sponsoring and championing new products, programs, and ideas through the encouragement of innovation
* Must have good work/life balance skills, accompanied by the ability to recognize ones own signs of stress and manage them well
**Location: US Remote location (Near Major Airport)**
**Sales Territory: US**
**Travel: May include up to 50% domestic**
**Relocation: Is not authorized**
