**Product Service Manager Responsibilities**
* Accept requests from internal and external customers for repairs to equipment within scope of responsibility
* Determine flat rate pricing and prepare quotes for customers
* Open work orders, assign the appropriate technician to perform the repairs and provide the flat rate hours quoted
* Determine which repairs are warrantable vs. customer billing
* Monitor progress of repairs and keep customers informed of progress
* Review completed work order and write and invoice description of work performed
* Monitor work in process and on a daily basis, keep the labor to a maximum of 50 hours per technician
* Track and schedule factory campaigns and ensure they are completed by set deadlines
* Maintain the parts returns from technicians to established percentage goals
* Complete all paperwork related to the department in a timely manner
* Actively oversee safety practices of employees and correct as needed; actively support and encourage safety training and compliance with all safety procedures
* Actively promote positive interdepartmental relations
* Actively support and administer company policies and procedures
* Manage employee performance appraisals in a productive and timely manner
* Maintain open and continuous communications with Service Manager on work issues and employee matters
**Product Service Manager Qualifications**
* High School Education or Equivalent
* Computer literacy is necessary
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
* Excellent organizational skills to appropriately manage high volume of department paperwork
* Five years experience as a technician in a related field, two of which were in a lead role (or equivalent experience)
* Experience or training in management concepts and practices or the willingness and ability to obtain such training and apply it in an acceptable and approved manner
