POSITION SUMMARY
The Catering and Event Coordinator will plan, direct and coordinate all events at both The Pine and The Pine Mountain Grill. Oversees and coordinates customer service and planning for these events. Schedules, leads, and oversees the day-to-day activities of personnel engaged in routine stock management and customer service activities associated with the golf course and banquet room.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
* Total accountability for the Golf Course and Banquet Room activities. Oversees scheduling, sales promotions, event planning, expense controls, product selection, budgeting and safety for both
* Ability to identify new sales leads
* Pitch new products and/or new services
* Maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers and grow the network to increase service area
* Research and identify new sales markets in the region
* Contact potential clients via email, social media or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
* Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
* Prepare PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
* Develop sales goals for the team and ensure they are met
* Set a targeted number of annual events to be held at the golf course. Create a marketing plan to help achieve this goal
* Work with Marketing Department to develop flier and materials for promotional purposes
* During low volume periods, help with PMG and PMM staffing
* Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience:
3 plus years of experience in Management and Event Planning
Certifications :
Food handling permits
Other Requirements:
* Proficiency with point-of-sale software
* Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
* Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance
* Competency in resource management and inventory control
* Customer service orientation
* Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing
