Vice President Logistics

What you will doAs a VP, Logistics at ONDC, you will play a pivotal role in architecting & building a logistics ecosystem for the entire network that spans from categories needing regional / national logistics to others which need hyperlocal solutions.

This is a key role that supports ONDC mission of democratising digital ecommerce by enabling sellers / sellerapps to seamlessly leverage the logistics ecosystem for their growth.

Strategy : Establish a clear vision for the ONDC logistics ecosystem, ensuring alignment with overall network goals along with scalability & efficiency.

Establish a clear value proposition for Logistics on ONDC. Define and implement strategies for on-boarding various logistics service providers (LSPs -Logistics Network Participants) across different service levels (hyperlocal, regional, national, B2b etc) independent / unbundled of other products on the networkEcosystem Building : Forge a robust, efficient population scale logistics ecosystem on the network facilitating seamless operations for Buyer / Seller NPs offering a diverse range of solutions for the multitude of categoriesBuilding & Owning Relationships : Liaise with Logistics Service Providers (LSP), industry bodies / confederations and other key stakeholders supporting the ever expanding product categories & use cases on the networkStakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams, including technology, network expansion, and operations, as well as external stakeholders, LSPs, to ensure cohesive and integrated logistics experience on the networkProgram / Project Management : Be a resourceful, go-getting multitasker, supporting initiatives across the ONDC organisation and ensuring timely onboarding of LSPsOperational Excellence : Orchestrate a logistics network with optimum cost structures, service quality & offerings inline with ONDCs growth ambitions.

Location - DelhiIdeal CandidateExtensive experience in logistics / supply chain with a focus on ecommerce operations. Proven track record leading & managing complex logistics networksPassionate about digital commerce, logistics, tech with demonstrated experience in solving problems at scale, leading & managing teamsDeep understanding of the logistics & supply chain landscape in the country, including the latest trends and technologiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's degreeAt least 8+ years of proven experience in ecommerce focused logistics / supply chainData-first problem solver and decision makerPreferred QualificationsMaster in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalentFamiliarity with the Indian digital commerce landscape;

particularly experience with a leading ecomm / hyperlocal platforms in logistics, strategy, consulting, or related experience is a plusHigh-growth operations, tech, or startup experience is strongly preferredOutstanding communication and organisation skillsStrong, demonstrated leadership capabilitiesGreat storyteller, can communicate the ONDC vision and mission to network participants, industry associations, govt departments etcSelf-motivated, works well independently, and possesses strong organisation and time management skills
