U.S. Marine Corps REALTY SPECIALIST New Orleans , Louisiana Apply Now Summary You will serve as a Realty Specialist in the Marine Forces Reserve, Facility Property Control Branch of MARFORRES NOLA. Responsibilities You will support the Facilities Sections Real Estate and Environmental services as they relate to the implementation of long-range facility planning and resource management responsibilities. You will draft, review or otherwise ensure the preparation of environmental management responsibilities. You will review all leases, licenses, permits, easements, and site environmental condition codes. You will assist and advise the Property control Manager in preparing budgets and required reports in support of real estate actions for the force analyze the appropriated funds allotted and expended to ensure efficient use. You will develop and implement projects resulting in the leasing of Government lands and buildings resulting in the generation of lease proceeds/in-kind consideration to include the development of projects to be funded with lease proceeds. You will participate in the planning and review of project management plans and make recommendations concerning management of proposed real estate actions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing and editing environmental and real estate documents; 2) Analyzing, monitoring, and auditing facilities related contractual obligations and procedural instructions; 3) Providing technical assistance and guidance for real estate issues to branch personnel and outside entities for accomplishment of more complex real estate actions and property management activities; and 4) Applying statistical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess, evaluate, develop, and make recommendations on the efficiency and effectiveness of environment and real estate policies and processes. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR A combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal 100 percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
