To prepare and assist in the preparation of food and/or routine cleaning and dishwashing or to provide service in a food service facility.**----**

****General Notes****
To prepare and assist in the preparation of food and/or routine cleaning and dishwashing or to provide service in a child care center.
****Responsibilities****
* Responsible for preparing foods and/or performing cleaning tasks in a kitchen. Prepares foods for cooking. Cleans kitchen equipment.
* Cleans and pares vegetables and fruits.
* Cooks simple foods.
* Assists in cooking.
* Informs supervisor of needed supplies.
* Washes dishes, pots, pans and other cooking equipment.
* Performs related duties as required.
****Required Qualifications****
Food Handlers Registration Certificate as issued by the Austin-Travis County Health Unit.
****Preferred Qualifications****
Ability to operate standard cooking machinery and equipment.
****Salary Range****
$33,200
****Working Conditions****
* Exposure to heat and equipment common in a kitchen.
* When required, ability to lift.
****Work Shift****
* M-F, 6:30am 3:30pm
