The Role

Performance Improvement is responsible for selling, creating, and delivering solutions and professional services to meet client needs. With mentorship from their direct supervisor, the Consultant, Performance Improvement will work closely with healthcare providers on financial and operational improvements. Through thoughtful and excellent communication, the Consultant is responsible for producing quality deliverables, guiding junior colleagues, and contributing to PI Advisory Solutions. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of management consulting and/or healthcare background.

Key Responsibilities

A Consultant, Performance Improvement will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

Contribute to practice knowledge capital and tool development
Displaying creativity and critical thinking in solving problems and quickness to comprehend new analysis techniques
Maintaining a positive, professional attitude and proactive approach
Create complex analytical models and reporting to drive unique solutions to complex healthcare problems
Complete detailed financial analysis, statistical reports, visualizations, and presentations for both internal team and client review
Partner with PI team members to implement advisory solutions and demonstrate the value of the solution throughout the client engagement.
Utilize standards, policies, and best practices related to Performance Improvement Solutions
Supervise junior team members to support their learning of solution methodologies and client delivery
With supervisor oversight, participate in key engagement initiatives. Examples include:
- Develop and update related work plans, issue logs, status reports, and related initiative trackers.
- Review and validate conducted analyses and client deliverables before submission
- Participate in client interviews and participate in client meetings
- Conduct detailed analyses to help identify specific opportunities for improvement, as well as implementation recommendations
- Complete quality reviews on team member work products before delivery to client personnel, validating team member findings and observations, and corroborate team member process improvement and analytic activities
- Consistently deliver work products that are high-quality and client-ready

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree required, with a preference in business, healthcare administration, industrial engineering or related field
2+ years' experience in the healthcare industry is preferred

Excellent client interaction skills, collaborative work style, and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organization skills with good attention to detail
Must demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims
Flexible; able to quickly adapt to working with different employees, clients, and changing priorities
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies
Knowledge in at least one of the following is preferred: SQL, PowerBI, Python
Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment

Additional Details

Relocation to Madison, WI, is not required
Travel 50%-60% of the time
