Position Summary

The position of Staff Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of account reconciliations and grant billing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
340B internal audit duties.
Responsible for accurate and timely monthly invoicing of federal and non-federal grants as assigned.
Responsible for submitting billing by the deadline assigned by the funder.
Responsible for ensuring that the program manager signs off on the billing prior to the submission of each billing invoice.
Responsible for maintaining communication with all funders with regard to assigned grant invoicing and financial reporting.
Responsible for end of year (contract period) reconciliations and financial reporting for grants as assigned.
Responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation and posting of assigned grant account receivables and revenue to the general ledger.
Responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation and posting of assigned grant cash receipts to the general ledger.
Responsible for keeping up with the regulations and requirements of the grants assigned.
Accurately post journal entries to the general ledger as directed.
Assist with the preparation of the external audits.
Serve as back up for the accounts payable and emergency assistance duties.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field required
Minimum of two years of grant experience or two years of bookkeeping/finance experience required
Experience working in healthcare or non-profits preferred
