**Transportation Services Program Assistant**
** Corvallis Full Time Hourly Wage**
This position is in the Transportation Services department within the Division of Finance and Administration at Oregon State University. Transportation Services provides safe, sustainable, customer-focused, and fiscally sound transportation programs and services. The Transportation Services department provides transportation options for commuters to the Corvallis campus as well as services and support for on- and off-campus transportation through the Motor Pool, the Beaver Bus campus shuttle, and more.
Transportation Services has a broad customer base with staff, faculty, students, service providers, and visitors. To meet the diverse needs of the OSU community, Transportation Services supports many options for commuting to or visiting the OSU Corvallis campus. The person in this position maintains in-depth knowledge of all transportation program and operational elements available to individuals and departments at the OSU Corvallis campus. The work requires careful, patient listening to determine the nature of individual transportation needs, including parking, and independent problem-solving skills to suggest helpful choices.
The incumbent gathers and evaluates customer needs. They communicate relevant information about transportation programs and services including parking permits, transit options, bike parking options, and how to handle parking citations. They determine program eligibility, make objective decisions and complete procedures to track and ensure delivery of transportation services. They have expanded decision making authority including the ability to correct data errors and perform refunds. Additionally, they verify and maintain the accuracy of customer accounts in department databases. They also perform various administrative initiatives and customer service projects that require in-depth knowledge of department programs and operations. Some projects occur on a regular schedule and others are singular projects with minimal guidance from set-up to completion. **Job Details**

Work Experience and Desired Skills
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
* A commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
* This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-###-#### et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment with changing rules, regulations, policies and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
* Quality data entry and review skills.
* Database experience.
* Experience running prepared reports
* Experience with customer support
* Experience with sorting data in spreadsheets
* Competency using Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and/or other spreadsheet software.
* Experience with transportation programs or operations
* Bookkeeping experience
Work Environment
Regular office environment, typically from 7:30 a.m. to 430 p.m., Monday through Friday. Infrequent overtime required due to seasonal nature of work. Ability to work at a computer for the majority of a workday; ability to carry 20 lbs. Some remote work may be permitted.
Position Hours/Schedule
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position. Typically work from 7:30 a.m. to 430 p.m., Monday through Friday. Infrequent overtime required due to seasonal nature of work.
