Job Description:
Our client is a dynamic organization committed to advancing innovative solutions in specialty chemicals.
They are seeking a dedicated Specialty Chemical Sales/Account Manager to join their team, playing a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding our presence within the pharmaceutical intermediates, health and personal care, cosmetics, and food/beverage sectors in North America.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and suppliers, demonstrating a proven track record of consistent sales and profit margin growth.
Business Development:
Propel growth by establishing new customer relationships, expanding supplier networks, introducing innovative products, and exploring untapped market segments.
Sourcing and Negotiation:
Leverage strong sourcing capabilities to identify and secure top-quality products. Negotiate prices and terms with both suppliers and customers, ensuring the closure of lucrative deals.
Collaborative Approach:
Collaborate seamlessly with team members across various functions to ensure operational efficiency and capitalize on business opportunities.
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of technical product knowledge. Conduct comprehensive market analyses to establish and adjust selling prices based on factors such as costs, competition, and supply and demand dynamics.
Effective Inventory Management:
Efficiently manage inventory levels to support the fluidity of business operations.
Strategic Sales Planning and Budgeting:
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing sales results. Prepare, monitor, and achieve annual sales and development budget objectives.
Detailed Reporting and Accountability:
Provide detailed written reports on sales and development activities. Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate receivables posting and assist with receivables management.
Expertise in Import Practices and Active Participation in Trade Shows:
Showcase expertise in import practices. Actively participate in industry trade shows to effectively exhibit products and elevate market presence.
Optimized Time Allocation:
Efficiently allocate time, focusing on both new business development and account maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in International Trade, Sales and Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field.
Proven commercial/technical sales experience in chemicals distribution or manufacturing.
Possess exceptional organizational skills, opportunistic mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Self-motivated, ambitious, and possesses a distinct entrepreneurial spirit.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
A minimum of 40% travel required (trade shows, overnight, domestic, and international).
