Our School
Brownell Talbot, founded in 1863, is a Nebraska state-approved preschool through grade 12 school. BT Math Department Philosophy
The Brownell Talbot mathematics program prepares students for success in high school, college and life by teaching problem-solving skills, critical thinking, cooperative learning, and an appreciation for the language and application of math. The goals of the department are based on the mathematical needs of our students and the belief that all students can learn math.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
Middle/Upper School math teacher qualities, duties, and responsibilities include:
The successful candidate must have a bachelors or masters degree and be eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate. Endorsements in both Middle Level Education and Math 7-12 are preferred, though either would be sufficient for the position. A minimum of two years of teaching experience at either the middle or high school level is preferred. The successful candidate will also possess a passion for math education, creativity in the classroom, and the desire to be part of a close learning community. The candidate must possess or acquire and maintain a State of Nebraska-issued teaching certificate.
