Summary:
Performs supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordinates the daily clinical operations of the Cook Children's Pediatric Specialty clinics or Urgent Care Centers, based on assigned role. Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or nurse practitioner(s) in physician practice or clinic settings. 75% of the Coordinator's time will be spent on their designated shift. Provides comprehensive ambulatory nursing care as directed by physician(s) and/or nurse practitioner(s), including patient and family assessment, intervention, and education. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure. The Clinical Coordinator, RN reports clinically to the physician and/or nurse practitioner, and administratively to the Clinical Practice Administrator of Pediatric Specialty and Urgent Care and the Director of Operations for Pediatric Specialty and Urgent Care locations. There is an indirect reporting relationship to the CCPN Director of Clinical Operations and Compliance Department.
Education:
* Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
* Minimum 3 year's experience in physician practice clinic setting or hospital experience, Pediatrics preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
* Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
* Current CPR certification.
