Job Description:
The Lunz Group is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual that thrives in a creative and collaborative setting to join our team in our Central Florida Office. Currently we are in search of an architectural designer with 5+ years of experience in a production role. This position will assist in the design and documentation of a variety of jobs. A portfolio and experience in one or more of the following market sectors is preferable: multi-family, workplace, distribution/logistics, healthcare, higher education, and/or public, civic, government work.
Responsibilities of Designer:
- Assist team through all phases of a project from design through construction administration.
- Develop plans, sections, elevations, and details for projects of all sizes and technical complexities.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Prepares design drawings and details.
- Performs analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.
- Self-audits work prior to review.
- Prepares and may write project specifications.
- Interface with architects and internal team through concise communication and drawings.
- Awareness of project budget and schedule and manage tasks to meet these milestones.
- Ensure the quality of assigned tasks meets the firm's standards.
- Effective communication with team and direct supervisor on assigned workload.
- Seeks out professional development opportunities.
- Strive to positively impact the company culture through the core values.
Qualification and Requirements of Designer:
- Master of Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production role in US based architecture firm.
- Working toward license.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
- Working knowledge of CRM software. Deltek or Vantagepoint software preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of drawing production, standard construction techniques and principles.
- Excellent skills in relation to rendering, modeling, and graphic formats and their manipulation and output.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required.
- Ability to be in-office at our Lakeland, Florida office.
